Welcome!
That's me and my search and rescue dog "Bosse" to the
left. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my
husband Scott and daughter Linnea. My home office has a
breathtaking view of the Puget Sound and the Olympics. Check out the slide show
on my Home page to get a better idea of
who I am and what makes me 'tick'. You will see pictures of me
in professional settings with executive clients as well as in
more personal settings:
on search and rescue missions and climbing - though my
daughter and husband are truly the climbers in the family - visiting my parents in Sweden
in the little fishing village where they live, on a fishing
boat in the Baltic, a sailing boat in the Agean off the
Turkish coast and so on.
I am a seasoned
executive, coach
and facilitator
with 20 plus years senior management level experience in a
variety of industries and organizations. My leadership
development and coaching practice has included executive coaching and
facilitation of roundtables for senior leaders since 1996.
I currently have over 70 active corporate clients.
I have particular expertise in organizational and
interpersonal effectiveness, strategic thinking and learning
systems.
As the founder of several roundtables for senior
human resources and marketing executives I regularly meet to develop learning communities
and share "best practices" with leading practitioners
from a variety of industries.
My
professional career began in the manufacturing
sector and progressed through a number of
increasingly responsible management and executive
level positions in the health care, utility and
transportation industries as well as the public
sector. Throughout my career, one of my key
contributions has been that of innovation, managing
change and bringing about results.
I
am considered an authority on emerging people
strategies. I have received the Best in America Award, and
been recognized as Working Woman of the Year by
Business And Professional Women (BPW). As a participant
on the Work in America Strategic Network Group,
I contributed, together with other highly placed
human resource and business executives, to the
development of a new blue print for high
performance. The result was documented in Strategic
Partners for High Performance, a Work in America
Institute National Policy Study (1994)
I have a Bachelor of
Arts from the University of Lund, Sweden and a
Master's Degree from the University of California
concentrating on organizational development, conflict
management and political science.
Though my
experience and qualifications may be comforting - just knowing
that I have walked in your shoes - effective coaching, and the
ability to work with organizational leaders in general, ultimately
boils down to the relationship and
'chemistry' we have. Only go on to review the rest of this web site if
what you have seen so far resonates at some level, and you are
someone that is forward-looking and action-oriented. I am 'an early
adopter', thrive on being at the 'crest of the wave' and
choose to 'live on the edge' in many aspects of my life. I like working with leaders that
are interested in the idea of taking themselves to the next
level of leadership and are coachable.
I think I have a unique ability to easily relate with people
that are diverse both in terms of style, perspectives and
background
A while ago
my own coach pointed out to me that my involvement in "search
and rescue" (I have a search and rescue dog and specialize in
wilderness missions) seems to importantly impact how I
approach the flow of possibility and deal with adversity -
perchance dealing with life
and death situations lend a unique perspective!
I also like
to think of myself as a "global citizen" - I was born and
raised in Sweden and had to learn how to adapt to a new
culture when I moved to the United States to do my graduate
work at the University of California. I find inspiration in
nature and get emotional, creative and spiritual energy from
the outdoors. I live in the Pacific Northwest by choice -
unlimited opportunities for outdoors adventures: hiking,
backpacking, and skiing are all part of the allure for me.!
My family is spread out over three
continents! Not surprisingly, I'd like to see my coaching
practice expand internationally. |
