Assessing Your HR Capabilities and Setting the Right Priorities
Discussion Catalyst, Laurie Likai,
Suzanne Elshult, Executive Coach

At this session Laurie Likai, Senior VP of Human Resources with F5 Networks will be leading us in a discussion around ways to assess your HR capabilities  and aligning your HR competencies around priorities that best support your organization’s business strategies. Laurie recently guided her HR organization through an intriguing process designed by the CEB HR Leadership Council™ to understand the critical maturity gaps and prioritize areas for improvement.  Few HR organizations are courageous enough to hold up the mirror and engage in a process like this, but for Laurie and her staff the results have been eye-opening and motivating. They now have a solid framework in place with identified gaps and a long-term path towards their desired maturity.

Here are some of the powerful question we may engage in at this session:

  • How do you know what your HR organization’s level of competency is?
  • Are the competencies your HR staff possess the ones needed to best meet critical business strategies?
  • How are the competencies of today different from those of yesterday and tomorrow?
  • How can HR maturity gaps help set priorities and focus?
  • What competency models/tools are being used by HREF members?
  • How do we address skills deficiencies and match talent to performance needs?

Come prepared to engage!
